School Programs
We offer award-winning Safety Programs to schools in the spring and fall of each year. These programs are designed for students at the elementary level to introduce them to life-saving and injury-prevention topics in a safe and controlled environment. Schools are encouraged to take part in all the programs we offer throughout the year: Pedestrian Traffic Safety, Fire & Home Safety and Acreage & Farm Safety. Scroll through the calendar below to book a convenient time for your school class.
Traffic & Pedestrian Safety Field Trip
For pre-K to Grade 3
Our flagship field trip program provides a comprehensive street safety education. We begin with an engaging classroom session, using an interactive storyboard to explore neighborhood safety, road signs, and traffic lights. The final hour is spent outdoors on our streetscape, where students put their new skills into practice as both drivers and pedestrians.
Please note: To ensure a quality experience and adequate time for each child on the quads, we have a strict maximum of 25 students per class. Exceeding this limit will result in an additional charge and reduced quad time per child.
Bicycle helmet required.

Acreage & Farm Safety Field Trip
For grades K – 5
This fully interactive program teaches children to recognize potential dangers and avoid injury on the acreage or farm. During a classroom story lesson, children learn to safely navigate a number of realistic, potentially hazardous situations. In the Big Red Barn, children learn and practice new safety skills at displays including animal, ATV, grain handling, dugout, chemical safety and many more!
Please note that this program included demonstrations of real-life equipment which could be hazardous. Staff are properly trained and all hazards will be discussed prior to demonstration. Participants ignoring safety warnings, roughhousing, or misbehaving will be asked to leave for the safety of all participants, volunteers, and staff.
